Public House are Martin Ocampo and Valentin Loeffler, both chartered Structural Engineers with the Institution of Structural Engineers.

Public House was formed overt pints in the Public Houses around London, where we spent many years challenging our own ideas about structural engineering, the built environment and the economic and political systems that drive these, and what defines the Good Life today.

Martin has over 16 years experience as a structural engineer working in Madrid, Barcelona and London. He has worked on Stirling Prize winning projects, the restoration of the Barcelona Cathedral, Grade II listed redevelopments as well as art installations and sculptures including at the Royal Academy in London.

Valentin is a structural engineer with an interest in timber, complex refurbishments and the environment. He has worked on Grade Iisted refurbishments and extensions on constrained sites in Shoreditch, as well as developing modular bamboo installations. Valentin also teaches on the Architecture course at Central St. Martins in the Designing the Civic Studio.

Together we are building a portfolio of bespoke projects that serve a positive purpose in a disenfranchised world. We take time, approach our work with care and attention to detail. We seek open collaboration and engage in a wide range of projects where we hope to contribute our expertise: from house extensions to festival installations and larger new builds and refurbishment projects.
