VILLAGE UNDERGROUND ROOF TERRACE
Public House collaborated with MOBO Works to design a pavilion and outdoor terrace for the rooftop of Village Underground - a long-standing nightclub in the heart of Shoreditch.
Public House developed a bespoke steel structure for the pavilion and three sets of feature staircases. Design responsibilities included careful detailing of exposed mechanical connections, welded components and interfaces with the existing structure.
One feature of the design are the exposed steel columns inspired by the classic Mies column. We designed as four standard angle sections welded together, with a bespoke bolted connection to the pergola and existing roof.
